- Meet "THE BLOB"
"During the summer of 1957, Valley Forge Films of Chester Springs, PA,
created a unique monster movie. Released by Paramount Pictures in
1958, "The Blob", directed by Irvin S. Yeaworth, Jr. and starring
newcomer Steve McQueen, terrified the world. The original material that
was used for the monster has been saved and preserved by caretakers
Wes & Judi Shank for over 40 years and will be on display both Saturday
and Sunday at Booth 37, February 23rd & 24th, at Renninger's annual
mid-winter exhibition in Valley Forge, PA. On display along side of the
Blob will be other memorabilia associated with the film including a
miniature set used during the production. Autographed color photos of
the Blob will be available for purchase along with other Blob souvenirs.
