Managed 250 small retail stores in seven Southeastern states prior to managing Renningers and becoming a broker of antiques. Our passion is early American Furniture and Oil Paintings. We have gained considerable knowledge about both during the past 25 years at Renningers. We read several trade papers every month. We have many reference books on these two sectors of the antique business. We take advantage of the knowledge of the dealers that are smarter and have more experience than us. We try to learn from those who are willing to share their knowledge. Several years ago We added fine estate jewelry to our inventory. We have acquired knowledge about diamonds and gold jewelry during this time period. Philosophy: This is a business in which none of us should be afraid to educate other shop owners.
